This cake was 3 different flavoured tiers, choc mud, caramel mud and vanilla. The two bottom layers had dark choc ganache underneath the RTR icing and the vanilla had white choc gananche. The finished effect was very elegant and the bride said it was beautiful.

This gorgeous white choc mud cake was made for one of my best friends Julie for her 40th birthday. She is a big fan of yellow roses and so it was a perfect choice for her. I was really pleased with the outcome and so was she!

Poker cake

This cake was made for a young guy that is into poker. His Mum brought me a B&W pic for a cake that she had goggled. I was pretty pleased with the outcome and had fun doing it. Hope the birthday boy enjoyed it!! Cheers Tracy

Terry's 60th cake

I love this cake and so did Terry's wife. The horse was on the invitations so I transferred it (took me 3 attempts to ice it!!) The red icing was from Sandra at KiwiCakes, Bakels brand, so I din't have to colour it which was a god-send! Always fun to do something a bit different Cheers Tracy

Well last week was hectic with our birthday celebrations. The articles in Scene mag and The Leader were both great and have certainly brought lots of new faces through the doors which was great to see. We gave away lots of cake, coffee and gorgeous cookies to our lucky customers, and everyone was very appreciative. All my staff performed outstandingly and I was very proud of them. The week finished with me having 4 cakes to ice on Friday, WOW what a way to finish the week! I've been having fun with the cupcakes this week decorating them and using some of the fantastic edible glitter that I got from Kiwicakes, the colours are AMAZING! And the chocolate wrap that I'm now getting the hang of is very cool. There are so many 'toys' out there to buy if you are into cake decorating. Who needs clothes and shoes??? LOL Tracy

Our 1st Birthday

I can't believe that we have been at the cafe for a year! It has gone so fast, filled with lots of highs (and some lows!).
